Our teaching and learning environment is specifically designed to support students with autism spectrum condition. We create structured, predictable spaces that minimize sensory overload while maximizing learning potential.
Our Curriculum Focus
We prioritise developing essential skills in:
Literacy and numeracy fundamentals
Effective communication techniques
Practical life skills for independence
Social understanding and interaction
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that each student develops the ability to communicate and learn effectively throughout their life, preparing them for meaningful participation beyond school.
The Baskerville Journey

Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14)
Students are thoughtfully grouped by age, language ability, and learning needs
Classes have a maximum of seven students
Each class has one dedicated teacher and two or more consistent teaching assistants
Specialist subject teachers provide expert instruction
Teaching assistants remain with students throughout the day for stability
Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16)

Students follow accredited courses adapted to their individual needs
Continued focus on academic and social development
Preparation for post-16 transitions
Post-16 Options (Ages 16-19)
Students can progress to either:
On-site Post-16 Program - Focusing on independence, life skills and vocational training  and art

Bournville College Resource Base - With options for mainstream class integration or specialized life skills curriculum
Most students remain in our supportive environment until age 19.
Additional Support
Our specialized resource base for students with severe developmental delay offers a developmental curriculum individually tailored to meet specific needs.
