Hello, my name is Allan Lacey and it is my immense privilege to be the Headteacher of Baskerville School
I have been the Head of Baskerville School for six months and have enjoyed every single minute of it. Before this, I had the pleasure of working in and leading special schools all over the north of the country. I also worked for Ofsted as a Her Majesty Inspector (HMI) and have worked as an educational consultant and a School Improvement Partner.
I became a governor to use my skills and knowledge to help Baskerville to become even more unbelievable.
I live in North East of England with four wonderful children (all adults now of course! ), three fantastic grandchildren, and two mad dogs!

I have been part of Baskerville's Governing Body for a few years now - since my daughter was in Year 7, and she is now (unbelievably) in Year 14. I have recently become a Foundation Governor, but before this year I was a Parent Governor. I'm still thinking as a parent though, and I'm particularly interested in 'Beyond Baskerville' and what life might look like in adult years for my daughter and her peers. I am currently the Safeguarding Link Governor and the Careers/Future Pathways Link Governor.
