Allan Lacey
Hello, I'm Allan Lacey, Headteacher of Baskerville School.
I've spent my career in special education across northern England, leading outstanding schools, working as an Ofsted Inspector, and supporting schools as an educational consultant. For the past year, I've had the privilege of leading our school community, and I genuinely loved every aspect of this role.
I came to Baskerville because I saw a school with incredible potential. Yes, we've faced some challenging times, but I'm proud of the significant progress we've made together. As a headteacher and governor, I witnessed firsthand the resilience of our school community and knew we could build something extraordinary for our students and families.
I live in the Northeast with my four adult children, three grandchildren, and two energetic dogs. This family experience has taught me the importance of celebrating individual differences and building strong, supportive communities – values that are at the heart of everything we do at Baskerville.
I have no financial interests in Baskerville School. My independence as a leader means every decision I make is based solely on what's best for our students and school community.

I have been part of Baskerville's Governing Body for a few years now - since my daughter was in Year 7, and she is now (unbelievably) in Year 14. I have recently become a Foundation Governor, but before this year I was a Parent Governor. I'm still thinking as a parent though, and I'm particularly interested in 'Beyond Baskerville' and what life might look like in adult years for my daughter and her peers. I am currently the Safeguarding Link Governor and the Careers/Future Pathways Link Governor.
